Bob Seely

Parliamentary Candidate for the Isle of Wight

Bob was elected as the Conservative MP for the Isle of Wight parliamentary constituency in June 2017. He is now the Conservative candidate in the forthcoming General Election (12th December 2019), seeking re-election as the Island's MP. He is committed to representing all Islanders, regardless of political affiliation, fighting for the interests of the community as a whole.

Bob lives in Mottistone. He is the sixth generation to be involved in community life on the Isle of Wight.

After the decision by incumbent Andrew Turner not to fight the 2017 general election, Bob was chosen as the new candidate for the Isle of Wight seat on 5th May, winning the selection contest on the first round.

After a 33-day General Election campaign Bob won the Isle of Wight constituency with 38,190 votes, increasing the Conservative vote share by 11% and 9,599 votes, winning 51.3% of the vote.

During the 2017 campaign, Seely argued that the Island needed a better deal from Government, and that is what he is now focused on. He has also published a manifesto for the Isle of Wight: Island Vision.
