Cllr Chris Quirk (Shanklin South)

Chris Quirk is the IW Councillor for Shanklin South, and was elected in May 2017, winning the seat from the independents. Chris was re-elected in May 2021. He also represents the area on Shanklin Town Council.

Chris lives locally (on Victoria Avenue) and has served as a Town Councillor for the best part of a decade, including two years as Deputy Mayor. Since 2010, he has led (as chairman) the Shanklin Theatre & Community Trust, which now has oversight of both our theatre and library assets. Prior to this he was a hotelier in Shanklin for several years.

Chris is Chairman of the IW Council's Planning Committee.
